Kelly Benzon

Kelly Benzon advises businesses, boards, and nonprofit organizations on the legal issues that shape how they operate and grow. Kelly’s work centers on commercial contracting, corporate and nonprofit governance, employment matters, and the practical management of disputes and investigations.
As former general counsel and board secretary of a global aviation planning firm, Kelly set contracting standards, negotiated major vendor, partnership, joint-venture, and teaming agreements, and guided leadership on industry-specific rules. She brings that same in-house discipline to contract review, risk mitigation, policy and bylaws drafting, and the day-to-day guardrails that keep organizations compliant and accountable. In private practice with an aviation consulting firm, Kelly has negotiated contracts, obtained state licensing, and facilitated operations—she is particularly well suited to companies that need a legal counsel who can both structure deals and anticipate how they will hold up under regulatory, employment, or litigation pressure.
Kelly has served on multiple non-profit boards, committees, and task forces, and has served as board chairperson for two of those 501(c)(3) organizations – facilitating strategic planning, rewriting bylaws and policy manuals to strengthen legal protections, advising on authority limits, and financial oversight.
Originally an assistant district attorney in Harris County (Houston), she handled felony, misdemeanor, and juvenile matters.
